What makes this Business Directory different?

This is definitely not just another business directory!

The clever bit is that this is a blog first and directory second – this keeps Mr.Google happy. The main aim of the blog is to showcase small business across Kent, but also include everything there is about Kent. Places to see, people to speak to, interesting bits of history or what to visit in Kent. We want people to find out as much about Kent as there is about the people who live there, work and create amazing businesses.

How do I know whether I can join?

Our main aim is to support small creative businesses, but the description is here as a guide. You will perfectly fit in if you run a family owned tearoom, sewing workshops, have a boutique B&B or run a small food production. As long as you are not a big corporation with international branches in Dubai (just letting my imagination going wild here… ) then you are very welcome! If you can’t find a directory category that fits your business, just let us know and we will add it in.

What are my responsibilities as a member?

Like with many other things, you will get more out of your membership the more you put in!

It is up to you to let us know about any updates to your listing, take active part in our on-line groups and submit your blogs. You are welcome to add your events to our ‘What’s on in Kent’ page, tweet us any time with any special offers or services you’d like us to promote.

We send out monthly newsletter and we are always happy to include news from you, blog posts or anything you’d like us to share with our readers.

How do I know what to write about in my blog post?

Don’t worry, it might be a bit daunting to write your first blog for another website. We will provide you with some examples and helpful hints and tips in our regular newsletter just for members.

P.S. Blog submission is certainly not a  requirement of your membership, but it’s a great way of showcasing your business in kind of  non-salesy way and if you are not regularly blogging, this will bring extra traffic to your own website.

When will my membership start?

Your membership will start from the day you have submitted your listing and run for full 12 months. So, you are welcome to join us any time during the year.
